Pastor Pam Hoffman, who first encountered Jesus as a junior in high school through the ministry of Youth for Christ, began to pursue pastoral ministry after several years of working as a journalist in print and radio. She received her B.S. in Journalism from Bradley University in Peoria, IL, her Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in S. Hamilton, MA and her Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. Before coming to New Baden, she served with a variety of United Methodist churches in Illinois as both an associate pastor as well as a solo pastor.

 Pastor Pam has a passion for preaching and teaching about Jesus and helping unlock the scriptures in a way that is faithful to the message of the word of God. She also enjoys helping people take their walk with Christ to a deeper level through small groups.

 She believes that the purpose of the church is to be a training center to equip people to become real imitators of Jesus. But more than that, the church is an employment office for all of God’s people to unleash the particular gifts God has given them. And finally, it is a laboratory for learning how to love.

 Pam’s personal endeavors include golfing and reading. She also has a fervor for music (especially as it relates to honing her skills on the guitar). Her family consists of her parents who divide their time between Florida and North Carolina, and a brother who resides full-time in southern Florida.
